Bike Blenheim 09 time trial
Today Was a 20km time trial at bike Blenheim and for this I used my new argon 18 E112. The course was very good because it was all up and down and very fast in some parts but in some parts very slow. The time trial was three laps of the ground on a closed road, When I started I sprinted off as fast as possible to then get in to a good pace but as soon as I did a corner came up but apart from that I enjoyed it and it was a good day out. Out on course I over took a lot of people who where going slower than me but I only got overtaken twice by people who where faster than me. When I finished I found out that I was 7th in my cat. and I think top 100 over all.

Warwick road race town center
Today was a race in Warwick town center and at the start as we lined up I was in the front row and ready to go and as the gate got opened on my left and on my right but not in front of me so I had to wait to get out and when I did get out nearly ever one (30+ riders) was in front of me on the line. In the race I was trying to go as fast as I could but coming up to one corner I nearly hit a rider in the side while trying to pass and coming out of a corner some one put there bike on to the side of the road and I nearly hit it. Most of the race was spent by myself just catching and passing people and being passed. And as I finished the race I saw Russ Downing and got my picture taken with him

Stratford CC hill climb
Today was Straford CC hill climb and just before we left the house I fell down the stairs and was in alot of pain. But when I hit the hill I just cycled it at my own pace in a lot of pain, the hill was very hard and seemed very long and endless. But as I hit the top and started sprinting for the line I ran out of gears because I could not get the chain in to the big ring but as I went over the line I did a time of 8 mins and 48 seconds and I got a gold medal in junior and 18 seconds off mens gold. I was very happy with my time as I beat my target and got a gold medal.

Banbury star hill climb
Today was Banbury stars CC's last time trial of the year (but not mine) and it ended with a hill climb that was only 0.39 miles but all up hill and it was in the wet and cold and that is not the type of wether for me but I still was within a min of the fastest time and felt good all the way up the hill and keept it in the big ring and pushed all the way up. The hill was hard and very wet because it had rain all day, this was a hard Time trial but at least it was a short one.

BSCC 13 mile 2 up
Today was a 13 mile 2 up and I did this with my dad who slowed me down a bit because I would come past and he would then get droped so i had to slow up so he could get back behind. We both did are fair share of work on the front and at the star of the year we did a 2up on the same course and did a 35.04 this time we did a 31.50 and this was a bit faster than my solo pb for this course.

BSCC 13 mile solo and new PB
Todays 13 mile solo was a good day for everyone because most people where setting PBs and my new time is now 3 seconds faster that my old PB for that course (32'25). The wind was not the best to start with because there was a head wind but the last two roads on the way back where very fast, I only got over taken by one person one (who is very fast) and right by the line a damn car pulled out in front off me while I was doing 27 mph but he then put his foot down.

banbury star 10 mile solo
Todays 10 mile solo was a good day for time trialing because it was fairly dry. My time today was 26'07 was 3 seconds off my PB but I would have possible beat it if a car at the turn around round about had not slowed me up. For todays TT I was using my new skinsuit. Out on the TT i only overtook 1 person and did not get over taken.

BSCC 13 mile solo in the wet
Today's time trial was cold and wet so today was mainly about not falling off and I did an OK time of 34'03 about 1 and a half mins of my PB for that course. I did not take it too fast into the bends and down the last hill was alot slower that what I would do in the dry.

Sorry no picture
Todays ten mile TT was a good one because I set a personal best of 26'04 and that's 1 min and 3 seconds faster than my PB on that course. When I finished I was the fastest in and stayed the fastest for a few minutes until the faster people came in, I was number 7 and I over took numbers 6, 5, 3 and 1.

leiden plaque 25 mile solo
Today was my first open 25 mile time trial and it was so wet and cold and hard I just wanted to finish, the first 13 miles going out was mostly a head wind and that made it hard once I got to the turn round point it was very fast back to the start. My time was 1 hour 7 mins and 3 seconds and I was the youngest doing the TT also Banbury star won.

SCC 10.4 mile solo in the rain
Today was a time trial with stratford CC and it was in the wet and it was not that much fun. I was number 27 and I over took numbers 26 and 25 but I got over taken by two people, the time trial was hard because in the bends I was not as fast as I could of been because of the standing water and by the end my areo helmet was as wet on the inside as it was on the outside, but my time was 27 minutes dead and just 4 seconds off my personal best for that course.

BSCC 13 mile solo
Todays time trial was very hard because I had done a 34 mile hard training ride the day before and a chain gang the day before that. The time trial was slow to start with because of a cross wind but then as I got closer to the end I was speeding up a lot and doing a very good time. As I hit the last hill I slowed down a little bit too much, but my time was the same as 2 weeks ago on that course. I did a 32:25. I was number 18 and I overtook numbers 17, 15 and 11 luckly I did not get over taken by any one.

Banbury star 13 mile solo time trial
I most have been going to fast for the camera. Today was a 13 mile time trial again and the weather was the best so far there was not much wind and very warm so it was a good ride and I set a personal best by 29 seconds and beat my dad (again) so all in all it was a good day on the bike. When I was out on the course I got over taken by one person but I did over take about 2 people and was five second behind my dad at the line (who was a min ahead of me).

Midland GHS 10 mile time trial
Today was the midlands district championship and the winners got into the national final but I did not get into the final because I was not fast enough but I did come 3rd in my race last night that's why I only did 25:35 over 10 miles but it was a personal best for a 10. Today was very hot and because off that it made the TT even harder but I think I did a good time. Also i was not last in this TT.

Cheltenham race round 4, and I got 3rd
Last nights road race was at cheltenham again and I picked this picture of me in the main group because it shows how hard that hill was. The race started off with about 2 or 3 fast hard laps then slowed up and had some times when it got a bit faster but then slowed down again. Then with one lap to go there was an attack of 2 under 16s and 1 under 14 and they got away and as my group got to the bottom of the hill on the last lap I attacked and sprinted all the way up the hill and as I got over the line I got 3rd in the under 16s, and I got on to the podium and my prizes was a poster a water bottle and a power bar also that means I won my first point.

Cheltenham Race Round 3
As you can see from the picture above in last nights race I kept up with the leaders of the race and there was a bit a of I big bunch, the race was 20 minutes + a lap and I stayed with the leader untill I got a puncture and as it happened I could hear the air coming out and I thought it was the front wheel so I pushed down on my handle bars and looked at the wheel and it was fine so I carried on and the not much further up the cousre some one fell off and luckly I did not fall off but then I could tell my tyer was low on air because I could feel the tyer moving on the rim and so I stoped and quit because I had no spare wheels. I was dissapointed about the puncture but glad I kept up with the leaders.

BSCC 10 mile solo
Todays 10 mile solo was great because we got to see some one in the new kit and it looked very cool. The ten mile solo today was hard there was a cross wind and just after I started I had to stop quick because the sensor for my speedo was hitting the magnet on the wheel so I stoped and I think that my have been why I was a bit slower but apart from that it was a good ride because I over took a few people. However on the way home after it started raining but at least in stayed dry till after the TT.

Last nights race was painful after Wednesdays 36 mile time trail. I had some trouble keeping up but I got droped but was with some one in the under 14s so I kept attacking on the hill, but he kept catching me up so on the last lap I attached and went and stayed away from him and just got lapped on the line because I was sprinting up the hill but i was in a bit of pain but just on the line they got me.

banbury stars 36 mile solo
Last nights time trial was 36 miles and for the warm up I did about 3 miles. Once I got out there I was going very well and I got to the roundabout to turn around in 45 mins 30 seconds. I was aiming to get there in 50 mins and 50 mins back so my time would be 1 hour 40 mins. I got back in 1 hour 38 mins. When I was about 10 miles from the finsh I got very bad cramp, I tried to get out of the saddle to stand up and pedal but the cramp was so bad I had to stop for half a min because I could not pedal anymore. From there on in I just stayed in the saddle. Then a bit further down the road it started raining and by this point I just wanted to get home. About 2 miles from the finsh I got cramp in the other leg so I had to stop pedaling down this hill but I just said to myself not much further just go for it and so I did. I started off 14th and I overtook numbers 13, 9, 4 and 1.

interclub with A5 rangers, 10 mile solo
sorry no picture today but not that it was a good day
Todays time trial was a 10 mile interclub hosted by A5 rangers and a flat 10 mile course and I was hoping to do a good time (24'54 was my target) but due to things like the sign on person being late and going off second and going wrong twice I felt that my time was going to be bad and suprise suprise it was. The sign on person sent me off second so i did not get a good warm up and by about half a mile in my chest and my legs were hurting. and when i got to the first roundabout i went wrong and had to turn around and did the same thing at that roundabout agan coming back, at the end of the day my time was 25'53 which was nothing to shout about but infact was a personal best over 10 miles.

Stratford CC 10.4 miile solo time trial
Today was a 10.4 time trial with stratford cc and it was a road bike one and this was made my arms hurt when I finished (because of resting them over the handle bars). Today's time was 27'32 (56 seconds slower than my TT bike). Today I got up to a junction and got held up by a tractor and had to over take it and if that had not happen i might have been a bit quicker, today i got a nice tail wind (unlike yesterday) and with that behind me i was doing 28 or 29 mph. My average speed for today was 23 mph. but all in all i would say it was a hard day.

When I started I over took 2 people number 19 and 18 (I was number 20), but i got over taken buy number 21, but I would say that today was a good day in the sadle.

Banbury Star CC, 13 Mile solo time trial
Today was my best time yet again out on this course. My time today was 32:57 just under 33 mins and I felt sick once I had finished but quickly felt better. Today was not too bad, for the first 3 miles there was a tail wind and that helped and so I tried to keep my average speed of 23 mph, but on the way back there was a mile and a half of fresh road chippings (that was hard going) and a head wind so it was not much fun on the way back but I still tried. So all in all I would say I did a very good time today. Also I overtook (I was number 13, unlucky for some) numbers 12, 11, 8, and 6.

raced today at tudor grange park
Today I came 4th out of 6th but at least I give it a go. I was number 47 and today it was very windy and felt like all the way round there was a head wind but at least there was just one race to do. As we started I stayed with the main group for about a lap then got droped and had to fight that head wind by my self then I got laped twice by the people who came 2nd and 3rd but the person who won laped me 3 times, however as he came past me I got behind him and stayed there to the line and he won but i did lap some one twice.

Today was the first 10 mile time trial with Banbury Star. It was a hilly one but I managed to beat my Dad. My time was 27:08 which was 57 seconds faster than him. It was a cross wind from the left going out for about 5 miles and coming back a cross wind from the right for the last 5 miles but at least it stayed dry. No-one overtook me however I did overtake three people.

Stratford cc 10.4 solo time trial
sorry I was late on posting this, this was for thursday 30th of April
Today I did a time trial with the Stratford CC (to which I am second claim). It was a 10.4 mile fairly flat course. I felt I did a very good time of 26:56 as this was my second in two days. It was raining as we were driving there but fortunately it stopped about 20 mins before the start and that gave me time to warm up. I caught both my 1 min and 2 min men on the first lap, during the second lap I overtook no. 22 (I was no. 9).

Banbury Star CC, 13 Mile solo time trial
Today I yet again did a personal best time of 33:38 and that was 58 seconds off my personal best time. Today it was mostly cross winds that where a bit strong but that did not stop me from trying my hardest. Today I was number 31 which surprised me but that gave me time to warm up. After I started I got overtaken by one person and when I was in the last 3 or 4 miles I could see my minute man. Just as I was coming to the line I was a few seconds behind him but as hard as I tried to catch him I couldn't, he was just too fast. All in all I would say today was a good day in the saddle again.

Banbury Star CC, 13 Mile solo time trial, beating my personal best time
Sorry no picture today
Today's 13 mile solo time trial was the best I've done because my previous personal best time was 36 mins and 08 secs and my new personal best is 34 mins and 36 secs. I'm very pleased with that and can't wait to do some more training. Today I had a very good day in the saddle, and between mile 4 and 5 I overtook my minute man (well woman, who at the end of last season was about the same time as me) and then left her and just powered to the finsh line. With about 2 or 3 miles left I got overtaken by the person who started after me but I managed to keep the gap between us the same then on the last down hill I overtook him but then he overtook me on the hill.
But I would say to day was a good day because I overtook 3 people in the time trial and only got overtaken by 1 person who I then over took but then over took me again

Two road races today
Race one
The first race today was only youth A rider on a nice track at Solihull , but in a few places the wind did catch me a bit. But I came away with a top ten place, I got 9th and glad of it. The race was hard and fast to start with and so I got droped but I worked up to someone and stayed behind him and then as we got laped I got on to the back of the main group and stayed with them for a few laps and then got droped again. I worked to the line by myself for 2 or 3 laps and got 9th.
Race two
The second race of the day was just as hard as the first but it was only 20 laps and the under 14 started half a lap before us. I didn't feel too bad but as we where racing I got droped again and continued cycling but I was with some one else so it was a bit easier; however 3 miles in I got out of the saddle to try and keep up with someone and I broke my bike, the cassette lock ring had come lose and as soon as I tried to give it some power the chain rings spun around and I had to stop because there was not time to fix it and that's where my races finished. When I got home it was fixed without much work so that was good.

Today's 13 mile solo was windy but i managed to do a personal best of 36 minutes and 08 seconds which is my fastest time on that course. Milton Keynes bowl, Again
Today was Milton Keyns bowl yet again, third week in a row. 20 laps which is 20 km and in old english money it was 12 and 1/2 miles. Hard day and very windy, and as you can see in the picture above i got droped and with the same person again. I got laped twice today and I was with him most the way around. not much happend with us drop offs un till the last lap when he attacked me just coming past the finsh line down the hill but i stayed with him and just stayed behind him for the rest off the lap untill I got half way up the hill and i just sprinted to the line so that meant I beat two people today.

Milton Keynes Bowl
Today was 20 KM (12 1/2 miles) around Milton Keyns bowl and a hard head wind. There is me in the picture im the one in front. today was a good ride I know I got laped once but that's part of cycling and racing.
Today's first ten of twenty laps was not as easy as the last ten but I finished and not last may I add. After I got droped by the main group there was some one else who got droped as well and I waited for him to catch me and we worked together until the main group laped us and we got on the back then after a lap I got droped but the person I was with got droped before me; also after I was droped for the second time I just went as fast as I could and finished second from last which was a good improvement over last week because last week I got lapped twice (but not last then either). So I would say to day was a good day in the saddle and I hope next week will be better.
